Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme implemented by Maasai Pastoralist Devote Initiatives (MPDI) aims to equip young people with practical skills that improve employment and livelihood opportunities.

The programme targets youth aged 20–30 years who may have limited access to formal education or employment opportunities. Participants first receive life skills training that focuses on personal development, hygiene, rights awareness, and basic literacy and numeracy.

Following this phase, participants undergo vocational training in market-relevant skills that enable them to find employment or start their own small businesses. These skills help young people generate income, support their families, and contribute to the economic development of their communities.

Through the TVET programme, MPDI empowers youth with knowledge, confidence, and practical skills that support long-term self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.
